Homemade Mechanical Biological Koi Pond Filter System
Here’s a great video detailing the intricacies of a homemade mechanical / biological Koi pond filter system. Per Hooinc the film-maker, he is just about to conduct regular pond filter maintenance. This particular Koi filter system has 4 chambers and is back flushed twice a day. The filter emptied out every 2 weeks and the filter material washed. Each chamber has a drain at the bottom.
